When it comes to customer service, BKCW’s Lindsay Miller goes above and beyond.

“Whether helping a new team member or a producer, Lindsay is always willing to work outside her responsibilities. She is a true team player,” says Todd Allison, Commercial Lines Director.

“Lindsay’s consistent dedication to delivering exceptional work has made a significant positive impact on our clients,” adds Tyler Spears, Managing Partner. “Her professionalism is a model for others.”

Lindsay has been with the Austin, Texas-based agency since 2010. She started as a Personal Lines and Small Commercial Account Manager and joined the large commercial team as an Account Executive in 2017. Lindsay earned a bachelor’s degree in political science from Texas A&M University and holds the ACSR (Accredited Customer Service Representative) and CIC (Certified Insurance Counselor) designations. She was also honored as Account Manager of the Year by the Independent Insurance Agents of Austin in 2023.

According to Lindsay, empathy is the foundation of great customer service. “The empathy we provide the client proves our value to their business and helps them better understand insurance during turbulent renewal periods as we are experiencing today. I have also found that maintaining frequent and honest communication with the insured eases any tension and frustration,” she says.

Lindsay enjoys her work at BKCW. “My favorite part of working in the insurance industry is building relationships with clients, underwriters, and my colleagues at the agency. I also find commercial sector clients fascinating, especially when I get a behind-the-scenes look at how various businesses run by joining producers on client visits. I love engaging in casual conversation with clients while also talking business because getting to know them better means we can provide better insurance products for them,” she says.

“I particularly enjoy representing my clients’ businesses to underwriters,” Lindsay adds. “I feel like I have something interesting to share with underwriters while learning more about the insurance market. Some of my favorite underwriters are at Acuity because they do a great job of mixing professionalism with personal compassion. I always enjoy talking with them.”

Lindsay also appreciates the professional development opportunities at the agency. “BKCW has been my professional home for nearly 15 years. I’ve worked with some great mentors, including Mr. Charlie Watts—the W in BKCW—and I’ve worked with the same three producers for the last seven years. I’ve participated in BKCW’s growth as we expanded from one small office in Killeen, Texas, to four offices in Central Texas,” she says.

“Even as BKCW grows, I think we are a rare company that says they put family first and actually means it,” Lindsay adds. “My husband is an Army officer, so my family has been through seven moves, one deployment, and a baby since I started with BKCW.  The agency has supported my and my husband’s careers by allowing me to work remotely full-time for a decade before remote work became common. I’m proud to have contributed to BKCW’s successes throughout the years I’ve worked here, and I’m grateful for everything the people at BKCW have done for me.”

Congratulations to Lindsay Miller, an Outstanding Service Professional!
