If you’re involved in an auto accident, contact our claims office at 800.242.7666. You can also contact your local agent or report the claim online. When reporting a claim, please have all the pertinent information available, such as the date, time, location of the loss, and names and contact information of the parties involved.


Once the claim is reported to our claims office, you will be contacted by your assigned claims representative who will walk you through our claims process and answer any questions.  Our goal is to contact you the same business day or within 24 hours of when the loss is reported.


There are a lot of factors that go into pricing. If you file a claim and Acuity pays for the losses, your rates will likely increase. If you file a claim and Acuity does not pay out on losses, your rates still might increase due to factors outside of your claims experience. Factors include claim frequency and claim severity in your geographic area.

Yes! Fault at the scene of an accident is subjective. Even if fault seems obvious, the opposing party can still file a claim against you. By filing your claim as soon as possible, you give your Acuity claims representative more time to collect evidence, which puts them in the best position to defend you. 


We always suggest you file a potential claim as soon as possible. The faster you report a claim, the faster it is resolved.
