As an agent, you know the important role insurance plays in protecting the investment people make in their homes. However, a surprising number of homeowners don’t have insurance—a shortcoming that presents an opportunity for you to educate prospects and help them put proper protection in place. Check out this recent report by the Consumer Federation of America, which found:

  • 7.4% of American homeowners are uninsured, which adds up to 6.1 million unprotected homes worth $1.6 trillion.

  • Rural homeowners are more likely to be uninsured.

  • Homeowners earning under $50,000 are twice as likely as the general population to be uninsured.
