Hundreds of years ago, during medieval times, gargoyles were viewed as a symbol of protection. They were installed on buildings to provide protection to the house or building. Also, they were a way to protect buildings from rain and erosion of the mortar that held the building materials in place.
For over 90 years, Acuity Insurance has prided itself on being a protector for our policyholders. We take our mission statement—to protect and enhance the well-being of our customers—seriously. Our employees strive to put our customers first, and our insurance coverage not only protects our customers’ buildings and possessions, but their businesses and livelihoods as well.
As a permanent reminder of the protection we provide for our customers, we recently installed four stone gargoyles on our building. If you are driving by our headquarters on I-43, not only will you see the world’s tallest symbol of freedom from miles away, but you will now see two stone gargoyles on the front of our building. And, if you are in Sheboygan and drive past Acuity on Taylor Drive, you will notice two gargoyles there as well.
Whether the Acuity gargoyles come alive at night remains a mystery, but during the day, they truly are a reminder of the topnotch protection we provide to our policyholders, which has led to a 96% customer claims satisfaction rate and an award-winning culture.
An insurance company that cares about you and insuring the things you wish to be insured.
