Emily Correa Cares for Van Meter's Commercial Clients

Customers of Van Meter Insurance/Houchens Insurance Group have come to know Emily Correa for her commitment to service excellence.

“Emily has been an integral part of the success our agency and team has experienced over the last 12-plus years. Knowledge, expertise, honesty, and selfless dedication are the consistent descriptions you hear when colleagues and clients speak of Emily. “Emily has a passion for doing her job to satisfy her customers and the production team,” adds Jerry Heming, Director of Commercial Lines. “She loves to win writing new business. Her organizational skills are off the charts to handle the flow of accounts that come across her desk each month. She is very knowledgeable, and if she doesn’t know the answer, will do research to find out. Plus, she is a great person to be around.”

Emily is a Select Marketer and first joined the Bowling Green, Kentucky-based agency in 1993. She left Van Meter Insurance in 2000 but returned in 2006. In her experience, she has found that being open and honest are qualities customers appreciate, along with showing that you have their best interests at heart.

“I always try to offer customers more service than they expect. You have to take the time to ask them questions to identify what they truly need, not just what they think they want,” says Emily, who has earned the ACSR, AAI, AIS, CPIW, and MLIS designations.
