Earthquake Insurance

What is earthquake insurance?

A standard homeowners policy excludes damage caused by an earthquake. This leaves a coverage gap in your homeowners insurance. Acuity's optional earthquake endorsement provides coverage for losses caused to your home, other structures, and belongings by an earthquake.

What does earthquake insurance cover?

We will cover direct loss to property, including the dwelling, other structures like garages and sheds, and personal property, if directly caused by an earthquake or volcanic eruption.

You can add Acuity’s earthquake endorsement to any home, renters, condo, or landlord policy.

How much does earthquake insurance cost?

The cost of earthquake insurance coverage depends on many factors, including your location, home value, type of construction, home age, and deductible.

*This endorsement is not available in all states due to state-specific regulations.
