Meet our guest speakers

Christine Rice

Christine Rice is a shareholder and the president of Simpson & Deardorff, S.C. in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. She received her bachelor’s degree in nursing from Carroll College, and after practicing for several years as a registered nurse, she returned to law school and graduated from Marquette University. Rice practices in all areas of insurance defense, specializing in insurance coverage. Rice has been involved in dozens of appeals that have shaped Wisconsin law with published decisions on both liability and contractual coverage issues.

Ken Calderone

Ken Calderone is a founding principal and lead trial attorney in Akron, Ohio, for the law firm Hanna, Campbell & Powell LLP. Since 1990, he has successfully counseled and defended both political subdivisions and private clients in product liability, industrial accident, personal injury, employment, civil rights, construction litigation, professional liability (architects, engineers, and accountants), commercial litigation, insurance coverage, and insurance defense litigation.

Jon Zentner

Jon Zentner is an attorney in Minneapolis, Minnesota, for the law firm Arthur Chapman Kettering Smetak & Pikala, P.A. Jon devotes 100 percent of his practice to defending construction trades against defect claims, contract disputes, additional-insured litigation, and construction injury claims. Zentner’s clients include general contractors, stucco installers, window manufacturers, framers, roofers, lumber distributors, HVAC installers, excavators, and masons.
