Acuity Insurance announced that it will begin writing business in Arkansas. Both personal and commercial lines insurance will be available from Acuity starting February 6, 2023.
“Agents need the resources of carriers that have the proven ability to meet their commitments,” said Acuity President and CEO Ben Salzmann. “Acuity brings to Arkansas a nearly 100-year history of doing business with independent agents and a commitment to protecting and enhancing the well-being of the individuals, families, and businesses who are their customers.”
To best serve Arkansas independent agents, Acuity has appointed a Sales Territory Director for the state, Courtney Fenske. An Arkansas native with over 10 years of industry experience, she will be focused on building strong partnerships between Acuity and newly appointed agencies. Courtney was also named the 2020-2021 Field Representative of the Year by the Independent Insurance Agents of Arkansas.
“Having a market resource with the strength, stability, and consistency of Acuity will be important to independent agents throughout Arkansas,” Fenske said.
Acuity offers a wide array of monoline and package policies in both personal and commercial lines as well as many important and unique coverage enhancement endorsements. Effective loss control services, managed care, and claims cost containment along with expertise in hundreds of different classes of business make the carrier a strong business partner for independent agents.
A proven leader in technology that agents use to power their agencies and serve their customers, Acuity has earned more technology awards from ACORD than any other carrier in the nation. The company earned Gold Spark Awards in both commercial lines and personal lines from Ivans for its agency connectivity successes, making it one of only nine companies worldwide to achieve gold status for both. Acuity is also the overall winner of the 2022 Award in Innovation, presented by the National Association of Mutual Insurance Companies (NAMIC), making the company the only insurer in the country to earn NAMIC’s overall award.
Acuity’s financial strength has been confirmed both by leading industry organizations as well as by its historical performance. Rated A+ by both AM Best and Standard & Poor’s, Acuity has been named to the Ward’s 50 list of top-performing property-casualty companies every year since 2000, making the company one of only four insurers, and the only regional carrier, to be named to the list for 23 consecutive years.
“Our financial strength, national reputation, and technological leadership have helped make us a trusted source of protection for hundreds of thousands of individuals, families, and businesses,” Salzmann said.
Acuity Insurance, headquartered in Sheboygan, Wisconsin, insures over 125,000 businesses, including 300,000 commercial vehicles, and nearly a half million homes and private passenger autos across 31 states. Acuity employs nearly 1,600 people.
